Christ Church Christ Church, built in 1869, was designed by Florentine Pelletier. Easton Architects led the door restoration efforts which encompassed repair, restoration and a historically appropriate new design for the six sets of doors leading to the Sanctuary and adjacent Parish Hall. The design reconfigured the doors to accommodate glass, allowing more light into the interior spaces beyond. The design was informed by the existing context of the building as well as historic documentation uncovered during the research process. The additional five door locations required varying degrees of repair and restoration, with each surveyed individually and given a specific restoration methodology. Christ Church is located on both the National and State Registers of Historic Places. |
